Banks Cancel Debit Card Fees

Just in the last few weeks four major banks have announced that they plan to do away with some controversial bank fees. A majority of banks were planning to begin charging their customers a fee in order to use their debit cards.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ A Columbia man accused of posing as a social worker to take money from seven vulnerable adults faces new charges. Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott announced that 45-year-old Mitchell Smith was arrested Monday morning and charged with neglect of a vulnerable adult and simple possession of marijuana.
