A record 17 Clemson players were named to one of three All-ACC teams announced Monday by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA).

Two Clemson players were awarded weekly honors Monday by the voting committee within the Atlantic Coast Conference. Jay Guillermo was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week, while B.J. Goodson collected the Linebacker of the Week honor following Saturday’s 37-32 win at South Carolina.

Dabo Swinney and Clemson remained #1 in the newest Associated Press top 25 college football poll.

On Wednesday, the official Clemson Football twitter account posted a photo of the new trophy given to the winner of the Clemson-South Carolina football game.

Clemson is ranked No. 1 in the nation in the College Football Playoff Poll released Tuesday night. It marks the fourth consecutive week that Clemson has been ranked first in the poll that will determine the four teams who will compete in the second College Football Playoff. Clemson is also No. 1 this week by Associated Press and USA Today.

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson and tight end Jordan Leggett were both announced as finalists for major college football awards on Tuesday.

The Iowa Hawkeyes moved to No. 3 in The Associated Press college football poll, taking advantage of losses by Ohio State and Oklahoma State to slip in behind No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Alabama.

Top-ranked Clemson defeated Wake Forest 33-13 on Saturday, moving the Tigers to 11-0 for the first time since 1981. The Tigers also celebrated Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day, with special segments honoring seniors and veterans throughout the game.

The Clemson women’s soccer team (14-4-1) tied its second round NCAA game 1-1 with the Ole Miss Rebels (14-5-3) but failed to advance in penalty kicks by a score of 5-4 Friday night at Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson has been named one of 15 semifinalists for the Walter Camp National Player of the Year Award. Watson and Florida State running back Dalvin Cook are the only ACC players on the list, while Watson, Cook, Luke Falk of Washington State, Leonard Fournette of LSU and Christian McCaffrey of Stanford are the only sophomores.

Defensive end Shaq Lawson has been named a finalist for another major national award, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. The Clemson junior was one of five finalists announced Thursday morning by the Charlotte Touchdown Club, who presents the award annually to the nation’s top defensive player. The other finalists are Jeremy Cash of Duke, Tyler Matakevich of Temple, Carl Nassib of Penn State, and Reggie Ragland of Alabama.
