The Clemson women’s basketball team (11-13, 3-7 ACC) fell to 5th-ranked Duke (22-2, 9-1 ACC), 78-51, on Thursday in Littlejohn Coliseum after a strong second-half performance from the Blue Devils. Duke outscored the Tigers 50-28 in the second half after the Tigers trailed by just five (28-23) at halftime.
Clemson (13-6, 4-3 ACC) looks for revenge Saturday when it takes on Florida St. (13-7, 4-4 ACC) at 3:05 in Tallahassee on ESPN2. Earlier this season the Seminoles took out the Tigers 56-41 at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Following the announcement last week of the 2014 football schedule, the Clemson athletic department, in conjunction with the alumni association, student affairs, IPTAY, the Tiger Letterwinners association and a host of other campus groups, announced the game designations for Clemson’s home schedule this fall.

Junior righthander Daniel Gossett (Lyman, SC) was named a preseason Louisville Slugger Third-Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Monday. Gossett was named a preseason third-team All-American by NCBWA earlier in December.
