Clemson Signs Center From Senegal

Clemson men's basketball announced Wednesday that 2013 center prospect Sidy Djitte (pronounced SIH-dee zhih-TAY) signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for the Tigers. The 6-foot-10 Djitte is the first prospect ever from the country of Senegal to sign with Clemson, and is the fourth member of Head Coach Brad Brownell's 2013 signing class. Djitte played this past season at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, NC.

Clemson Walks Off With 8-7 WIn Over Upstate

Freshman Kevin Bradley hit a three-run, walkoff homer with one out in the ninth inning to lift #14 Clemson to an 8-7 win over USC Upstate at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Tuesday night. The Tigers, who won their eighth game in a row, improved to 38-15 with their dramatic victory in their regular-season home finale. The Spartans fell to 25-26 in 2013.

Clemson Home Finale With USC Upstate

Clemson (37-15), ranked as high as #14 in the nation, will host USC Upstate (25-25) on Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 PM. The contest is the Tigers’ last regular-season home game of the season.

The Tigers, who took a 2-0 lead in the series, improved to 36-15 on the season. The Eagles dropped to 25-25 in 2013.

Sophomore righthander Daniel Gossett struck out a season-high 12 batters to lead #15 Clemson to a 7-1 victory over Georgia Southern at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Friday night. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 35-15 on the season. The Eagles dropped to 25-24 in 2013.

Clemson Sweeps Furman With 12-2 Win

Jon McGibbon went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs to lead #15 Clemson to a 12-2 win over Furman in the second game of a doubleheader in front of 3,410 fans at Fluor Field on Wednesday night. The Tigers, who swept the doubleheader by a combined score of 26-4, improved to 34-15 overall. The Paladins dropped to 26-22 in 2013. It was Clemson’s ninth win in a row in the series between the two schools.

Clemson Cruises By Furman 14-2

The #15 Clemson Tigers scored a season-high 14 runs in their 14-2 victory over Furman in the first game of a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers improved to 33-15, while the Paladins fell to 26-21.

Clemson-Furman Rained Out Again

The Clemson vs. Furman baseball game scheduled for Tuesday night was rained out. The game was originally scheduled for April 17, but that game was rained out as well. The two teams will play the regularly-scheduled game against Furman at Fluor Field in Greenville, SC on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Tuesday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Wednesday. Therefore, the makeup game will start at 2:30 PM at Fluor Field.

Matthew Crownover tossed 6.0 scoreless innings and five different Tigers tallied multiple hits to lead #15 Clemson to a 9-5 win over Maryland in the second game of a doubleheader at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Monday night. The Tigers, who won both games of the doubleheader to win the series 2-1, improved to 32-15 overall and 17-10 in the ACC. The Terrapins fell to 28-23 overall and 9-18 in ACC play.

Clemson Golf To Arizona NCAA Regional

Clemson was one of 14 teams selected to play in the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional Tournament at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ on Monday night. Larry Penley’s Tigers are the number-five seed in the field. The top five teams after three days of competition May 16-18, will advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament at the Capital City Club’s Crabapple Course in Alpharetta, GA May 28-June 2.

Proveaux Moves On In U.S. Open Qualifying

Clemson freshman Cody Proveaux, the reigning South Carolina Amateur Champion, finished in a tie for third at the US Open Local Qualifier at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg on Monday and will advance to Sectional qualifying early next month.

The Tigers are ranked as high as #14, down one spot in Collegiate Baseball. Clemson moved up 7 spots to #18 in Baseball America. The Tigers cracked the USA Today Coaches Poll at #22.
