The award honors college baseball's "Breakout Player-of-the-Year" and is named after former Auburn pitcher Gregg Olson, who became one of the top collegiate players in the nation after an initial season filled with only mixed success.
Former Clemson standout DeAndre Hopkins has impressed the Houston Texans in early workouts. The Texans took Hopkins in the first round of last April's NFL Draft.
Clemson will travel to Durham, NC to play in the ACC Tournament at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Tigers will be the #5 seed and face #4-seeded N.C. Clemson will open play in the NCAA Regional Golf Tournament at Tempe, AZ on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM Eastern time, 7:30 AM in Tempe. The Tigers will be paired with #6 seed Vanderbilt and #4 seed Texas A&M. The Tigers are seeded fifth in the 14-team tournament. Clemson men's basketball announced Wednesday that 2013 center prospect Sidy Djitte (pronounced SIH-dee zhih-TAY) signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for the Tigers. The 6-foot-10 Djitte is the first prospect ever from the country of Senegal to sign with Clemson, and is the fourth member of Head Coach Brad Brownell's 2013 signing class. Djitte played this past season at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, NC.
Freshman Kevin Bradley hit a three-run, walkoff homer with one out in the ninth inning to lift #14 Clemson to an 8-7 win over USC Upstate at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Tuesday night. The Tigers, who won their eighth game in a row, improved to 38-15 with their dramatic victory in their regular-season home finale. The Spartans fell to 25-26 in 2013.

The Clemson vs. Furman baseball game scheduled for Tuesday night was rained out. The game was originally scheduled for April 17, but that game was rained out as well. The two teams will play the regularly-scheduled game against Furman at Fluor Field in Greenville, SC on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Tuesday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Wednesday. Therefore, the makeup game will start at 2:30 PM at Fluor Field.

Clemson was one of 14 teams selected to play in the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional Tournament at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ on Monday night. Larry Penley’s Tigers are the number-five seed in the field. The top five teams after three days of competition May 16-18, will advance to the NCAA Championship Tournament at the Capital City Club’s Crabapple Course in Alpharetta, GA May 28-June 2.
Clemson freshman Cody Proveaux, the reigning South Carolina Amateur Champion, finished in a tie for third at the US Open Local Qualifier at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg on Monday and will advance to Sectional qualifying early next month.
