Swinney Says NC State Game Not Meaningless

Irmo stand-out, Jordan Roper will play basketball next season with Clemson. Roper is a 6-foot guard with 1,219 career points. Roper, who was the Midland's 4A player of the year in 2011, led his Irmo team last season to a 27-3 record and a 4A state championship.

Clemson Not Fazed By BCS Rank

At Tuesday's weekly press conference, the Tigers addressed their new BCS ranking, but said it will not affect this week's preparation for North Carolina. Standout sophomore quarterback Tajh Boyd says last week's game at Maryland was a good reminder that the #7 Tigers can be beaten be any ACC team any given Saturday.

Clemson-Georgia Tech Set For 8 p.m.

The time has been set for the Clemson at Georgia Tech football game to be played on Saturday, October 29 at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, GA. The game is set to kick off at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The television network will be announced following the games of October 22.

Clemson 7th, USC 14th In BCS Standings

Sunday night, the BCS released its first standings of the 2011 college football season. Clemson comes in 7th. USC is 14th. LSU edges out SEC West rival Alabama for the top spot.
