No. 11 Gamecock softball hosts No. 20 Arkansas Friday

No. 11 South Carolina is set for a key SEC series as it plays host to No. 20 Arkansas for a three-game set starting Friday at 6:00 PM ET on SEC Network Plus. Saturday’s game is set for 2:00 PM ET on SEC Network Plus while the series finale on Sunday is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET on SEC Network Plus. 

Irmo's Detrek Browning picks up more All-American honors

Francis Marion University 6-0 senior guard Detrek Browning and 5-10 junior forward Shaunice Fulmore have each been named to a second All-America squad, this time the Division II Bulletin 2018 All-America Team.

Clemson sophomore Doc Redman shot a four-over-par 76 in the opening round of the 2018 Masters and stands in a tie for 62nd place out of 87 players entering Friday’s second round at the famed Augusta National Golf Club.

Oh didn’t allow a base runner through four innings until the Eagles poked a two-out single in the top of the fifth. 

Wesley Bryan’s role in the lengthening of Augusta National

The late Hootie Johnson fiercely defended the lengthening of Augusta National during his term as club chairman. The first overhaul added 285 yards after the 2001 Masters, and six more holes were lengthened after the 2005 Masters.

The Masters creates women's tournament

Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, announced today the establishment of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship, which will be held annually the week prior to the Masters and will culminate with the final round taking place at Augusta National.

Irmo's Johnson returns to Masters, but 2017's exit lingers

Perhaps the questions will stop once Dustin Johnson tees off at 2:00 p.m Thursday afternoon at the 2018 Masters. Maybe then, the Irmo native will no longer have to answer about his back injury on the eve on the 2017 tournament which cost the No. 1 ranked player in the world his best chance at a first green jacket.
