Clemson Gets 4-2 Win Against Winthrop

The No. 15 Clemson Tigers scored four runs in the fifth inning to defeat Winthrop 4-2 Wednesday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers (19-9), who won their fifth game in a row, recorded the victory over the Eagles (14-17), led by former Clemson Assistant Coach Tom Riginos (2003-10).

Clemson Crushes Furman 13-2

A five-run sixth inning broke open a close game in No. 15 Clemson’s 13-2 victory over Furman at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Tuesday night. The Tigers (18-9) took a 1-0 lead in the home-and-home season series over the Paladins (11-18), as the two will play at Fluor Field in Greenville on May 13.

Open Season On Clemson QBs At Scrimmage

In his sixth full season as Clemson Head Coach, Dabo Swinney did something Monday he had never done previously. He held a scrimmage where his defense was free to tackle the quarterback. No purple jerseys, everything was “live.”

Wilkerson ACC Co-Player Of The Week

Senior infielder Steve Wilkerson was named ACC Co-Player-of-the-Week on Monday. He joined Virginia sophomore outfielder Joe McCarthy as ACC Co-Player-of-the-Week, while Florida State junior Luke Weaver received ACC Pitcher-of-the-Week honors.

Clemson Series Finale Rained Out

Due to rain and a soaked playing surface at Bob Smith Stadium, the series finale between No. 20 Clemson and No. 25 Maryland was rained out and will not be made up. Therefore, Clemson wins the series 2-0.

Crownover Helps Tigers Take Two From Terps

Steve Wilkerson’s three-run homer in the first inning and Chris Okey’s two-run homer in the fifth inning lifted No. 20 Clemson to a 7-1 win over No. 25 Maryland at Bob Smith Stadium in the second game of a doubleheader Friday night. The Tigers (17-9, 8-3 ACC) swept the doubleheader and took a 2-0 series lead over the Terrapins (16-8, 5-6 ACC).

Clemson Holds Coaches Clinic

Dabo Swinney’s Clemson football program held its annual Coaches Clinic in conjunction with spring practice on Thursday and Friday. Nearly 400 coaches from South Carolina and neighboring states attended the clinic that continued into Friday evening.

Kennedy Helps Tigers Top Terps In Series Opener

Shane Kennedy went 4-for-4 with a homer and the go-ahead, run-scoring triple in the ninth inning to lead No. 20 Clemson to a 3-1 win over No. 25 Maryland at Bob Smith Stadium in the first game of a doubleheader Friday afternoon. The Tigers (16-9, 7-3 ACC) took a 1-0 lead in the series over the Terrapins (16-7, 5-5 ACC).

Bradley To Start Season In Minors

The Boston Red Sox announced Friday former Gamecock Jackie Bradley Jr. will start out the season in AAA Pawtucket. Grady Sizemore won the Red Sox starting job in center field. Bradley hit .158 and led the Red Sox in strikeouts this spring.

Clemson Maryland Baseball Series Adjusted

Due to impending inclement weather, Maryland and Clemson are now scheduled to play a doubleheader Friday beginning at 3 p.m. Game two of the doubleheader and series is slated to begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. Saturday's game is still scheduled to start at 2 p.m. and serve as the series finale.

Clemson Crushes Georgia 16-4

Every Tiger starter had at least one hit and scored at least one run by the fifth inning in No. 20 Clemson’s 16-4 victory over Georgia at a chilly Foley Field on Tuesday night. The Tigers (15-9), who won their fifth game in a row at Foley Field, took a 1-0 lead in the home-and-home series over the Bulldogs (14-11-1), as the two teams will play at Clemson on April 8.

Clemson Beats Belmont, Makes NIT Final Four

For the third time in its history, Clemson is headed to New York City and famed arena Madison Square Garden for the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The Tigers knocked off Belmont in a thriller Tuesday, 73-68, after trailing by five with 3:53 remaining. Clemson advances to face the winner of California vs. SMU on Tuesday, April 1. The game time has yet to be determined.

Clemson set for NIT Quarterfinals

With a trip to New York City and the famous Madison Square Garden for the National Invitation Tournament semifinals on the line, Clemson and Belmont square off Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum. It is the first meeting between the two schools.

Tyler Slaton’s two-run homer in the fourth inning gave the Tigers a 5-4 lead, the eventual final score in No. 13 Clemson’s 5-4 win over Georgia Southern at J.I. Clements Stadium Wednesday afternoon. The win was the 900th for Jack Leggett as head coach at Clemson. The Tigers (13-7) evened the two-game, midweek series against Georgia Southern (17-5).

Scott Headlines New Clemson Hall of Fame Class

Former Lower Richland High School basketball standout Ed Scott headlines a new class of seven inductees into Clemson's Athletic Hall of Fame. Scott was the class 4A high school player of the year and won a state championship at LR in 1999. He went on at Clemson to become one of only nine players in ACC history with at least 1000 points, 500 assists and 400 rebounds.

McDaniels Leads Clemson To 78-66 NIT Win

Clemson junior K.J. McDaniels had a career night with 30 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks to help the Tigers beat Georgia St. 78-66 in a first round NIT game at Littlejohn Coliseum late Tuesday night. Clemson moves on to host the winner of Wednesday's Illinois/Boston University game.

Clemson Signee Named Parade All-American

Class of 2014 signee Gabe DeVoe (Shelby, N.C.) was named to the 58th annual Parade All-America boys basketball team announced over the weekend. DeVoe is the fifth Clemson signee in history to earn the distinction, joining Skip Wise (’74), Clarke Bynum (’80), Sharone Wright (’91) and Milton Jennings (’09).

Ga Southern Spanks Clemson 14-5

Georgia Southern scored in six of the first seven innings to defeat No. 13 Clemson 14-5 at J.I. Clements Stadium Tuesday night. It was the first meeting between Georgia Southern (17-4) and Clemson (12-7) in Statesboro since 1995.
