Clemson Hires Reed As Defensive Backs Coach

Clemson Thursday Practice Report

Clemson practiced for the second straight day Thursday at the Georgia Dome, the site of its upcoming New Year's Eve clash with No. 7 LSU in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. The 13th-ranked Tigers will practice again at the Georgia Dome on Friday before holding their final bowl practice Saturday at Georgia Tech.

Tigers Kick Off Bowl Practices In Atlanta

Clemson held the first of four practices in Atlanta as it prepares to face eighth ranked (BCS) LSU on Monday night in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. The 14th ranked Tigers worked out at the Georgia Dome, the site of the annual game, on Wednesday. The Tigers will work there on Thursday and Friday as well before working at Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Clemson Beats SC State, 77-41

Clemson went on a 21-2 run to end the first half and held SC State to 41 total points in a 77-41 rout on Sunday at Littlejohn Coliseum. The win improved the Tigers to 7-4 on the season and dropped the Bulldogs to 4-9.

Breeland To Miss Chick-fil-A Bowl

Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney announced after practice Wednesday that defensive back Bashaud Breeland will not play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against LSU due to injury. Breeland has been limited by a groin injury that bothered him over the second half of the season.

Rodriguez Wins Orange Bowl Courage Award

Clemson’s Daniel Rodriguez is the winner of the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award, as selected by a panel of FWAA members. Rodriguez, a redshirt freshman receiver from Stafford, Va., is playing for the Tigers after being awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star in Afghanistan.

Former coach Lou Holtz given South Carolina degree

Holtz coached the Gamecocks for six seasons from 1999-2004. He had the only winless season of his career while at South Carolina, going 0-11 in 1999 before the team rebounded with a 17-7 record and win consecutive Outback Bowls the next two years.

Spiller Rushes For Over 1000 Yards

Former Clemson running back C.J. Spiller went over the 1000-yard mark for the season for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Spiller is the first former Clemson running back to gain at least 1000 yards in a season at the NFL level since Terry Allen did it for the Washington Redskins in 1996.

Radakovich Settling In As A.D. At Clemson

Clemson's Harbison Joins Auburn Staff

Charlie Harbison, Clemson co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach with the Tigers the last four years, has accepted an assistant coaching position with the same titles at Auburn. Auburn made the announcement on Sunday.
