Columbia Housing residents are now able to enroll in any program that they’re interested in at Midlands Tech College with some eligible students qualifying for free tuition and fees.
The Columbia Housing Board of Commissioners says it has accepted the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Ivory Mathews.
Last month, several families voluntarily moved out of their apartments at St. Andrew’s Terrace due to a gas leak. Columbia Housing says the gas appliances have been replaced with electric ones, and all the families have now returned to their homes.
In a release sent out on Friday, Columbia Housing said that they are voluntarily relocating 24 families out of St. Andrews Terrace Apartment after the Columbia Fire Department detected a gas leak.
