The Palmetto Trail is encouraging women to participate in this year’s Women’s Outdoor Adventure Weekend.
Richland County officials say the new parking area was made possible by a grant from the Richland County Conservation Commission.
South Carolina hikers could soon walk another 26 miles, as part of the Palmetto Trail. The new passage would connect a current trail near Fort Jackson to the Wateree Passage in Southeast Richland County.
