Richland School District One Superintendent Dr. Todd Walker promised students if they read for 2.5 million minutes he would jump out of an airplane and on Thursday, April 2, 2026, he delivered on that promise.

And so for me that’s very important to make sure they know this is a safe place and it’s ok to ask questions, and it’s ok to make mistakes and it’s ok to not know the answer,” says Abigail.
