Overnight, Hurricane Zeta hit the Gulf Coast after making landfall in Louisiana as a category-two storm. It’s now the strongest hurricane to hit the continental U.S. this late in the season in more than a century.
As we deal with these high winds, the South Carolina Emergency Management Division reported more than 184,000 power outages across the state Thursday morning. Leaders say most of these are in the upstate.
