Fairfield County deputies searching for person of interest in relation to shooting

 

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County deputies are searching for a person of interest in relation to shooting that happened on Sunday, said the sheriff’s office.

Authorities said, deputies need the public’s assistance with identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with a shooting that occurred on I-77 Northbound near the Chester County line on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

The individual is believed to have information that may assist investigators with the ongoing case.

At this time, the person is considered a person of interest only.

No criminal charges have been filed, and investigators are seeking to identify and speak with this individual regarding the incident, according to the Fairfield Co. Sheriff’s Office.
