1 wanted, 3 arrested in relation to Richland Co. shoot-out

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies are providing updates on last week’s shoot-out.

According to Sheriff Leon Lott, deputies were dispatched to Sagamore Road, Legend Oaks, and Spring Oak Lane following calls of retaliatory drive-by shootings.

Just after 2 in the morning, deputies encountered multiple suspects and faced heavy gunfire.

At this time, Lott says five suspects have been identified.

18-year-old Qwa’ Maurie Deaver was was killed by officers during the incident.

19-year-olds Sireon Beaufort and Journey Lindsey have been placed under arrest.

A 16-year-old minor has also been arrested.

All three face multiple charges including attempted murder.

A fifth suspect who is identified as 21-year-old Tyjae Miller is wanted for the same charges.

Deputies believe family members are helping him evade arrest.
