1 person shot after disagreement turns violent

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County deputies say one person was shot after a domestic disagreement that took a turn.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, June 14, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report about a shooting incident at an apartment complex on Highway 261 South.

Upon arrival to the area, deputies found the victim, who was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey by EMS.

The suspect who deputies say was identified as Shannon Patrice Royal was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.

Royal was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

Her bond was denied, and she remains in custody, according to the sheriff’s office.
