UPDATE: Sumter Police say missing man has been found safe

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)- Sumter Police say a man reported missing by acquaintances over concerns of his wellbeing has been found safe.

According to investigators, on Wednesday, efforts to find Jerry Wayne Gibson began after acquaintances contacted police to report concerns and were not able to reach him.

Again, officers say Gibson has been located and is safe.
