Manmade Gourmet’s Love It or Chuck It: Mini Hawaiian Grilled Cheese Bites
Sticking with the cheese theme, The Manmade Gourmet and Vaughan went to Pradise…sort of…
Per usual, we tried to stick, as best we could, to the recipe that we found…
Here is what you need:
- Hawaiian sweet rolls
- Sliced mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- Butter (softened)
- Fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- Garlic powder (optional)
How to make it:
- Slice: Cut the Hawaiian rolls crosswise into thin, bite-sized square layers.
- Assemble: Place a layer of cheese between two small roll slices.
- Butter: Spread a thin coat of butter on the outer top and bottom of each mini sandwich.
- Toast: Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat. Toast the mini sandwiches until the bottom turns golden brown and the cheese begins to melt. Flip and toast the other side.
- Garnish: Remove from heat and top with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and optional garlic powder before serving hot.
THIS is where the inspiration came from!
