CHARLESTON, SC (WOLO) (WCIV)–According to police in Charleston the missing 4 year old Heidi Todd has been found alive and safe. Wednesday evening, authorities say they found the little girl just safe in Birmingham, Alabama. Wednesday authorities released a sketch of a man they’re only calling a person of interest in the disappearance of the 4-year old.
Police say the person of interest in her disappearance has facial tattoos, describing them as a lightning bolt and a flame.
According to Charleston Police, anyone with information can call the 24 hour tip line at 843-619-6123.
Charleston Police Interim Chief Jerome Taylor and Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg said Wednesday the incident appears to be related to a home invasion.
Charleston Police say the 4-year-old’s mother is at a local hospital after Tecklenburg said the mother was brutally beaten, but is in fair condition.
The mother had four other children, two of whom were in the home at the time, according to Tecklenburg. The other children were unhurt, police say.
