Officer, suspect injured in West Columbia shooting Wednesday

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – West Columbia Police say a police officer is injured following an officer-involved shooting Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the 500 block of North Brown Street at about 9:30 p.m.

Police say during the incident, an officer and the suspect suffered gunshot wounds.

They were taken to the hospital where officers say they are in stable condition at this time.
