Columbia-Richland Fire Dept. held groundbreaking ceremony for Ballentine location

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Fire Services will soon have a new home in Ballentine.

Monday morning, June 15, officials broke ground on a new fire station on Broad River Road in Chapin.

Officials say the facility will enhance the Columbia-Richland Fire Department’s ability to provide timely emergency response, improve service delivery, and support continued growth in the region.

Construction of the new station is expected to be complete next year.
