Murdaugh trial court clerk seeks dismissal of civil suit
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The court clerk at the center of Alex Murdaugh’s overturned murder convictions wants a federal judge to dismiss his civil suit against her.
In May the state Supreme Court vacated Murdaugh’s convictions for the murders of his wife and son.
The court ruled Former County Clerk Becky Hill had improper influence over the jury.
Days after the court’s decision, Murdaugh filed a civil suit seeking $600,000.
In asking the court to dismiss the suit, Hill also denied the jury tampering allegations.
