Evette addresses supporters after congratulating Wilson on win
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Lt. Governor Pamela Evette took the podium at her campaign watch party in Myrtle Beach Tuesday night and told supporters she had just called Attorney General Alan Wilson to congratulate him on his win as the Republican nominee for governor. She then offered him her full support.
Evette went on to express gratitude for all her supporters and her family, including her husband, children, mother and brothers.
She also said that she is committed to seeing a win in November, telling the audience that “…the choice in that general election is between conservative principles and a Democratic Party that wants the exact opposite for South Carolina.”
Evette received loud applause when talking about what is next.
“This isn’t the end of anything for me, it is just the beginning of a different chapter,” said Evette. “I’m still going to fight for the people of South Carolina every day, and I am still and I will always be grateful beyond measure for having the honor to serve this state, the state I love, for the last eight years.”
