Additional cases of West Nile Virus identified in SC

After a Charleston County woman was proven recently to be infected with West Nile, three more cases of the virus in humans have been confirmed in South Carolina, the state Department of Health and Environmental Control announced today.

Rare Coroner's Inquest Set in SC Mauling Death

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ A relatively rare coroner's inquest is scheduled in the death of a Mount Pleasant child who was mauled to death by two dogs last spring. Charleston County Coroner Rae Wooten has determined the dogs caused the death. But the inquest, slated for Aug. 10, will determine if the death of 2-year-old Ja'Marr Tiller was an accident or if someone is responsible.
