COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — No. 12 South Carolina takes on East Carolina on Saturday night in Charlotte, N.C. The teams have not played since 1999 when Hurricane Floyd flooded campus and forced East Carolina to leave for Columbia earlier than planned to stay ahead of the storm. After a 21-3 victory over the Gamecocks, the team remained in the city for nine days as floodwaters receded.
