Lexington Native Joining Clemson Golf

Lexington native Sydney Legacy, the number-two ranked junior college player in the nation last year and a first-team Junior College All-American, will join the Clemson women’s golf program in January. Head Coach J.T. Horton made the announcement on Tuesday.

University of South Carolina Athletics announced today the recipients of eight endowed scholarships across four sports. Seven members of the group have appeared on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, two have earned All-SEC honors and two were All-America selections. Clemson Begins Season Friday

The Clemson women’s soccer team travels to Charleston, S.C. for two matches to start the 2015 season. The Tigers face Texas on Friday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. in the first game of the Charleston Nike Classic before facing College of Charleston on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Both games will be played at the Patriots Point Athletics Complex in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Kopp Returns to Tigers Baseball Program

Former Tiger righthander David Kopp was added to the Clemson staff as a student assistant coach, announced by head coach Monte Lee. Kopp was a three-year letterman (2005-07) at Clemson and played eight seasons in the minors.

USC Releases 2016 SEC Schedule

The Southeastern Conference released its men's basketball league schedule for the 2016 campaign on Wednesday evening on SEC Now on the SEC Network. The schedule, which features an 18-game lineup, will see each of Carolina's games broadcast with the possibility of six contests on the ESPN family of networks and 13 on the SEC Network. All of the games will be available to be seen from anywhere in the nation.
