Jacob Olson knocked in a career best five runs and Carmen Mlodzinski pitched five strong innings as the University of South Carolina baseball team defeated The Citadel, 12-1, Tuesday night (April 10) at Joe Riley Park.

#17 Coastal Carolina gets 9-2 road win at Wake Forest

Coastal Carolina pounded out 14 hits, including five doubles and a home run, while Matt Eardensohn improved to 4-0 in his first start to lead the 17th-ranked Chanticleers (24-11) to a 9-2 victory at Wake Forest (14-20) Tuesday night at Couch Ballpark. 

USC's Kenzi Maguire named SEC Player of the Week

For her performance last week, South Carolina softball’s Kenzi Maguire has been named SEC Player of the Week, the conference office announced today. Maguire posted an impressive .500 batting average in four games to help the Gamecocks to their third SEC series win over a ranked opponent. 

Clemson ACC games announced

Five teams that advanced to the 2018 NCAA Tournament will come to Littlejohn Coliseum to face Clemson University men’s basketball during the 2018-19 season. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced the 18 conference matchups for each of its 15 men’s basketball teams for the upcoming season.

Fireflies take first game from Hagerstown, 8-3

The Fireflies erupted for a season-high 16 hits en route to an 8-3 victory over the Suns in the series opener Monday night. Edgardo Fermin, Blake Tiberi, Jeremy Vasquez, Rigoberto Terrazas, Walter Rasquin, and Scott Manea all collected multi-hit games. Columbia is off to a 3-2 start in 2018.

South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame to honor Clemson's Tim Bourret

South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame President Steve McGuirt has announced that Tim Bourret, Sam Wyche, Louis Sossamon, Phil Kornblut and Paul Kennemore will be honored for their various contributions to Palmetto State sports when the organization hosts its 58th annual banquet and induction ceremony on May 14 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
