Coastal set for challenging 2018 schedule

The time has come and Coastal Carolina baseball, like everyone else across the country this weekend, is ready to officially start the 2018 season. The Chanticleers will have three weeks to prepare before opening their season Feb. 16-19by hosting Indiana, Oklahoma, South Alabama, Kansas State and Virginia Tech in the 18th annual Brittain Resorts Baseball at the Beach.

NCAA Denies Te’a Cooper Waiver

South Carolina Athletics was informed today by the NCAA that the waiver of the transfer year in residence for Te’a Cooper was denied. Cooper will have two years of eligibility remaining, beginning with the 2018-19 season.

A'ja Wilson to be honored tonight before Arkansas Game

The Gamecocks 16-3 (5-2 SEC) will host the Arkansas Razorbacks 11-9 (2-5 SEC) tonight at Colonial Life Arena with a 6:30 p.m. start time. Senior forward A'ja Wilson will be celebrated for her 2,000th career point by Dawn Staley prior to tip-off.

Gamecocks, Gators rematch for first time since Elite Eight

When last they met, Florida and South Carolina were trying for a spot in last spring's Final Four. The Gamecocks won that matchup in New York City but the Gators aren't really thinking much about revenge when it comes to Wednesday's meeting in Gainesville -- they just want to come up with another Southeastern Conference victory.
