Clemson Tops CFP Rankings Again

The Tigers are once again No. 1 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, released Tuesday evening. Clemson has been atop the rankings each of the three weeks they have been released. The 12-person selection committee determines the four teams that will take part in the second College Football Playoff. The announcement of the pairings will be at 12 p.m. on Sunday, December 6.

Lawson A Finalist For Lombardi Award

Defensive end Shaq Lawson has been named a finalist for the Rotary Lombardi Award. The honor is presented each year by the Rotary Club of Houston, Texas to the top lineman or linebacker in college football.

Clemson Drops Contest to Coastal Carolina

Despite a second straight double-double (11 points, 13 rebounds) from freshman guard Danielle Edwards, Clemson (1-1) fell to Coastal Carolina (2-0) 63-47 on Sunday in Jervey Gym. Victoria Cardaci added a career-high 11 points.

Clemson Tops Texas-San Antonio, 78-45

The Clemson men’s basketball team took on UTSA on Sunday, and won convincingly behind the strength of Donte Grantham’s career-high 22 points. The Tigers move to 2-0 on the season, while UTSA falls to 0-2.

USC Wins Season Opener, 84-69

The South Carolina men’s basketball team grinded out a win in the opener to the 2015-16 season Saturday night, taking an 84-69 win over Norfolk State. It was the first game of the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam tournament, which will continue for Carolina in the Virgin Islands on Nov. 20 against DePaul. Four players scored in double figures for the Garnet and Black, with Sindarius Thornwell and Duane Notice leading the way with 14 points apiece.

Tigers Top Syracuse 37-27

Deshaun Watson had a big day for No. 1 Clemson with two touchdowns passing and 101 yards rushing and a score as the top-ranked Tigers held off Syracuse 37-27 on Saturday.

Clemson Wins Opener 74-40 Over NCCU

Clemson basketball opened its regular season Friday against North Carolina Central, and for the 31st consecutive season Clemson came away a winner. The Tigers used a 21-0 run in the opening half and a suffocating defense throughout the game to earn a 74-40 win over the Eagles in front of 5,742 fans at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Spencer Joins Clemson Basketball

Head coach Brad Brownell and his staff added to the Clemson men’s basketball roster late in the day on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period. Scott Spencer, a 6-foot-6 wing from Suffolk, Va., signed a national letter of intent to play for the Tigers beginning in 2016-17. Spencer is listed as the nation’s No. 24 small forward prospect by ESPN.

Syracuse Knocks Off Clemson In ACC Tourney

The second-ranked Clemson men’s soccer team saw it’s 2015 ACC Tournament come to an end in the semifinals on Wednesday night at Historic Riggs Field, following a 2-0 loss to No. 8 Syracuse. The loss was the Tigers’ first suffered at home this season, and dropped the team’s record to 15-2-2. The Orange, on a hot streak after advancing over North Carolina in penalty kicks in Chapel Hill in the ACC Quarterfinals, improved to 12-5-3 with the win.

Clemson Stays #1 In 2nd CFP Rankings

Clemson remained the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff poll released on Tuesday evening. Dabo Swinney’s Tigers have been No. 1 in each of the first two Playoff Polls. Hyatt, Goodson Earn ACC Honors

Clemson senior linebacker B.J. Goodson and freshman offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt were both honored by the ACC on Monday for their play in Clemson’s 23-13 win over Florida State on November 7.
