USC Earns Top-Five Finish At Ka'anapali Collegiate

Led by sophomore Keenan Huskey, the South Carolina men’s golf team wrapped up its fall season with a top-five finish at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Invitational on Sunday at the Ka’anapali Golf Course.

Tigers Win Division, Accomplish One More Goal

Tigers Top Florida St. 23-13

Deshaun Watson threw a go-ahead touchdown pass to Deon Cain and Wayne Gallman came through with a game-sealing scoring as No. 3 Clemson held off No. 17 Florida State and Dalvin Cook for a 23-13 victory Saturday to clinch the ACC Atlantic Division.

Clemson Edges Lenoir-Rhyne In Double OT

The men’s basketball team took on the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in its only public exhibition Thursday night. Clemson rallied from a 12-point deficit late in the second half to force overtime and eventually won after two extra periods, 87-84.

Watson Earns National Weekly Honor

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson was named the recipient of the Capital One Impact Performance of the Week award by ESPN on Thursday. It is the second major national player of the week award for Watson this week. On Sunday he was named National Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Foundation.

Lawson A Semifinalist For Lombardi Award

Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson has been named one of 12 semifinalists for the Lombardi Award. The Lombardi Award is presented each year to the top lineman or inside linebacker in college football. This is the second consecutive year Clemson has had someone in the semifinals for the award. Vic Beasley was a finalist last year.

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson has been named a semifinalist for he Maxwell Award and defensive end Shaq Lawson has been named a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award. Both awards are presented by the Maxwell Football Club of Pennsylvania.

Tigers Top First 2015 CFP Rankings

The Tigers are ranked No. 1 in the nation in the initial 2015 College Football Playoff poll, released Tuesday evening. It marks just the third time in history Clemson has been No. 1 in an in-season major poll. The Tigers were ranked No. 1 for the final two polls of the 1981 season.

Columbia native Austin Ajukwa will transfer from Clemson, head coach Brad Brownell announced Tuesday. Ajukwa played in 55 career games over two seasons, scoring 2.7 points per contest.

Watson, Gore Honored by ACC Office

Sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson and senior offensive tackle Joe Gore were both honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday. Watson was named the ACC Back of the Week for the second time this year and the fourth time in his career, while Gore was named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week for the first time.

Clemson Stays Perfect At NC State, 56-41

The No. 3 Clemson Tigers defeated NC State 56-41 on Halloween at Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday. It was Clemson’s 11th consecutive win dating to last season, the program’s longest winning streak since a 13-game tear from 1980-82.

Two Tigers Ranked In World Top 30

Clemson freshmen Alice Hewson and Lauren Stephenson are both in the top 30 of this week’s Women’s World Amateur Golf Rankings. The system is based on each player’s average performance in counting events over a rolling cycle for the previous 52 weeks. The system is similar to that used in the professional ranks.

Lawson Makes Cut For Hendricks Award

Junior defensive end Shaq Lawson has been named to the Ted Hendricks Award Midseason Watch List. The Hendricks Award is presented each year to the top defensive end in college football, and is named after former University of Miami (Fla.) and NFL player Ted Hendicks.
