One of the busiest interstates in South Carolina is getting a fresh layer of pavement starting next month. The Department of Transportation says crews plan to resurface 11 miles of Interstate 26 in North Charleston overnight on weekdays starting in June and running through October.

$1.7 billion, five-part, 8-year SC road project set to begin

South Carolina road crews are getting ready for the first of a five-part, $1.7 billion project to untangle where Interstates 20, 26 and 126 meet west of downtown Columbia. The project is being called Carolina Crossroads and is scheduled to last through 2029.

A massive bridge repair project on one of South Carolina’s busiest highways begins Thursday night. The project will close the southbound Interstate 77 bridge over the Catawba River near Rock Hill and will likely cause commuting headaches.

SCDOT: Traffic shift coming to I-20 Westbound in Lexington County this weekend

The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced that traffic on I-20 Westbound will be shifted into a new configuration beginning October 23. The current lanes will be shifted into newly constructed lanes around mile marker 60.5.
