Richland Coroner identifies Worthy Drive homicide victim

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a homicide on Tuesday.

Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the victim as Myron Schofield, 43, of Columbia.

According to Columbia Police, Schofield was shot multiple times in the 2000 block of Worthy Drive. He later died from his injuries.

Officers arrested & charged Steven Pringle II, 33, for the fatal shooting.

He’s being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

This shooting remains under investigation.
