Hazmat situation shuts down I-26 EB near Irmo; overnight delays expected

UPDATE (7:26 a.m.) – According to SCDOT officials, portions of I-26 Eastbound near mile marker 104 (Piney Grove Road) will remain closed this morning. An overnight collision damaged the pavement, requiring removal and replacement of the riding surface. SCDOT says they are expediting repairs.
