Woman charged with fleeing with child seeks bond

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A woman arrested in Australia on charges of abducting her infant daughter from South Carolina 20 years ago wants to be free on bond. Federal prosecutors oppose the idea. They say there's a risk Dorothy Lee Barnett will flee again.

Cayce, SC (WOLO)- Police in Cayce are looking for a suspect in a recent sexual assault. Investigators say they are looking for Raymond Haltiwanger in connection with an assault they say took place in a wooded area near the C-S-X railway in Cayce.

U.S. Supreme Court does not Block Gay Marriage Appeal in SC

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to block gay marriages in South Carolina. The high court on Thursday denied a request by Republican Attorney General Alan Wilson. He had wanted the marriages blocked while he challenges a judge's recent decision that opened the way for the marriages.
