Man gets 5 years in death after football game

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) โ€” A man has been ordered to spend five years in prison for his role in a fight that killed a man outside Williams-Brice Stadium following a South Carolina football game.

Come February 15, nearly a dozen people employed with the State Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) will be out of a job. Those eight folks are responsible for handling unemployment insurance claims for 17 offices, all of which are in rural areas. State lawmakers are up in arms about it because they say the job losses equal more bad news for their rural, low-income constituents.
