Authorities: Clemson student dies off campus

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 19-year-old Clemson University student has been pronounced dead shortly after his roommate found him unresponsive in their off-campus apartment.

Man Arrested 5 Times While Awaiting Murder Trial

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) _ Prosecutors say they will ask a judge to revoke bond for a man arrested five separate times since he was charged with murder in an Aiken County shooting two years ago. The Aiken Standard reports (http://bit.ly/rZSPa5) that 22-year-old Freddie Simpkins' latest arrest came Tuesday on a second-degree burglary charge and he remained in jail on a $25,000 bond.

SRS hosting deer hunt for wounded warriors

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — The company that manages a former nuclear weapons complex near Aiken is teaming up with the U.S. Department of Energy and several other organizations for a two-day deer hunt especially for wounded veterans.
