ACC Officially Expands To 15 Teams

The Atlantic Coast Conference will formally welcome its three newest members - Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse - at an afternoon press conference in New York City on Monday. The new members will start competition in the 15-member ACC this fall.

South Carolina junior Justine Dreher made a charge up the leaderboard on Sunday at the Women’s Swiss International Amateur Championship to finish tied for third at the Golf Club de Lausanne.

McDaniels At Kevin Durant Camp

Clemson junior K.J. McDaniels has earned an invitation to the Kevin Durant Skills Academy that will be held from Friday through Sunday, June 28-30 in Washington, D.C. The NBA superstar's camp features the top high school and college wing forwards from across the nation, and is administered by Nike Elite Youth Basketball.

Clemson's Miller Gets Call Up

Former Clemson Tiger Brad Miller will join the Seattle Mariners on Friday. The shortstop is expected to be in the starting line-up when Seattle opens a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs Friday night.

Final Look: Clemson's 2013 Baseball Season

The 2013 season marked Clemson’s 38th trip to the NCAA Tournament dating back to the 1947 season. That year, Clemson actually advanced to the Final Eight of the NCAA Tournament, but it is not considered a College World Series season, because only two teams went to the CWS in those days.

Clemson’s Boulware In College Home Run Derby

Clemson rising junior Garrett Boulware (Anderson, SC) will participate in the 2013 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby. The fourth-annual event will feature college baseball’s top sluggers competing under the lights of TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha at 8:30 PM on July 3 and will air nationally on ESPN at 8:00 PM on July 4.

Reader Two-Sport Athlete On Top 25 Teams

Clemson defensive tackle D.J. Reader was also a member of the Clemson baseball team in 2013. With Wednesday's announcement that the Clemson baseball team finished the season 25th in the final USA Today Coach's poll, Reader was a member of two top 25 teams during the academic year.

3 Tigers Earn Preseason All-American Honors

Sammy Watkins, Tajh Boyd and Chandler Catanzaro have all been named to preseason All-America teams released so far by various college football publications. Nationally recognized publications by Phil Steele, USA Today, Athlon, Lindy's and Sporting News have released their All-America and all-conference teams.

5 Tigers Make All-ACC Academic Baseball Team

Clemson placed five players on the 2013 All-ACC Academic baseball team, released on Monday. The five selections tied for second-most in the ACC behind Florida State, who had six selections. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA during his academic career.

Rays sign 1st-round draft pick Nick Ciuffo

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — First-round draft pick Nick Ciuffo (SHOO-fo) has signed with the Tampa Bay Rays and will report to the team's rookie-level Gulf Coast League minor league club.

Former Tiger Takes Long Jump Crown

Former Clemson standout George Kitchens continued the momentum he built from the 2012 season which saw him earn a spot in the London Olympics on Sunday by winning the USA Championship in the men’s long jump on Sunday in Des Moines, IA. His victory was the first USA Outdoor crown for a former Clemson men’s track & field athlete since Shawn Crawford captured the 200 dash at the 2009 meet.

Rollins Sets New U.S. Record In 100m Hurdles

Former Clemson standout Brianna Rollins, running in her first professional meet, ran to an American record in the 100 hurdles on Saturday at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, IA. She raced to a time of 12.26, breaking Gail Devers’ record of 12.33 that had stood since 2000. Rollins won the USA crown, only the second in history for a Tiger female in any event.

Future Tiger Ramsey Wins WWGA National Amateur

Clemson rising freshman Ashlan Ramsey won the WWGA National Amateur Championship on Saturday at Dayton Country Club in Dayton, OH. Ramsey won five rounds of match play throughout the week en route to Saturday’s championship match, in which she defeated Jenna Hauge, a rising junior at Ball State.

Clemson Adds Ford & Wilhelm To Ring Of Honor

Legendary coaches Bill Wilhelm and Danny Ford will be inducted into the Clemson Athletics Ring of Honor this fall. Both will be recognized at a Clemson home football game this season. Wilhelm, who will be inducted posthumously, also will be honored at a Clemson baseball game next spring.

Clemson Dedicates Radio Booth To Jim Phillips

The home radio booth at Clemson Memorial Stadium will be named in honor of Jim Phillips at a home football game this fall. Phillips was the “Voice of the Tigers” for 35 years between 1968 and 2003. He died suddenly the Monday after broadcasting the Clemson vs. Furman game in Memorial Stadium on September 8, 2003.

Clemson Athletics Director Named To NCAA Committee

Clemson Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich has been named to an Athletic Director Advisory Group to the NCAA leadership by NCAA President Mark Emmert. Radakovich, who is in his first year at Clemson, was one of 10 named to the committee. This ad hoc group will meet periodically with NCAA leadership to provide feedback and perspective on issues affecting Division I athletics.

Howard's Rock Vandalized

Howard's Rock, the iconic fixture Clemson players rub prior to running down the hill during the football team's entrance into Memorial Stadium, was vandalized sometime June 2 or June 3. A small portion of The Rock was broken off of its pedestal after vandals broke the casing that protects the artifact.

Rollins Earns National Track Honor

Clemson redshirt junior Brianna Rollins has been named National Women's Track Athlete of the Year for the 2013 outdoor season, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Wednesday. Arizona high jumper Brigetta Barrett was named the organization's National Women's Field Athlete of the Year.

USC Swim Coach To Help Team USA

South Carolina head swimming and diving coach McGee Moody has been named to the U.S. men’s swimming coaching staff for the 2013 World University Games, USA Swimming announced Tuesday.

Glover & Stanley Ready To Tee Off U.S. Open

Former Clemson All-Americans Lucas Glover and Kyle Stanley will compete in the 113th United States Open at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, PA this week. It will be the eighth US Open for Glover, more than any other former Clemson golfer, and the fourth for Stanley, who is just 25 years old. The tournament begins Thursday at the par 70 course that is outside Philadelphia, PA.
