Bloom Returns To USC As Part Of Tanner's Staff

A 1985 graduate of the University of South Carolina, Bloom served as an undergraduate and graduate assistant in the Gamecock SID office. He also worked as a student assistant in the SID office as an undergraduate at UNLV.

Clemson-Duke Set For 7 p.m. Kickoff

For the first time ever, Clemson football will play at Duke in prime time. Monday, the ACC set the November 3rd game at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, NC for 7:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Meeks Earns ACC Weekly Honors

Clemson senior Jonathan Meeks earned ACC weekly honors Monday. The Rock Hill native was tabbed as the conference defensive back of the week. Meeks had two interceptions, including one he returned 74 yards for a score in Clemson’s 38-17 win over Virginia Tech. He also had four tackles and a pass broken up for three total passes defended.

USC Tumbles, Clemson Steady In New Polls

After Saturday's 44-11 loss at Florida, the Gamecocks tumbled in today's new polls. USC dropped eight spots to #16 in the coaches' poll. Carolina also slipped eight spots in the AP poll to #17. Clemson held steady at #13 in the coaches' poll and #14 according to the AP. The Tigers beat Virginia Tech 38-17.

Clemson Rolls Over Virginia Tech 38-17

Three interceptions on defense and two rushing touchdowns from Tajh Boyd helped #17 Clemson roll over Virginia Tech 38-17. The Tigers improve to 6-1 overall, 3-1 in the ACC.

Quarles Out For Florida Game

Defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward hopes to have most of his unit back and ready to go for Saturday’s contest with the exception of Kelcy Quarles.

Spurrier might bench DT Quarles for throwing punch

Spurrier said Wednesday the discipline would probably involve missing game time. A video on YouTube shows Quarles punching LSU center P.J. Lonergan in the facemask after a first-quarter play in the Tigers' 23-21 victory.

The addition of the non-conference games expands the Gamecocks’ television appearances to nine for the 2012-13 season, including three SEC games also on various Fox Sports networks.

Allen Helps Colts Upset Packers 30-27

Former Clemson standout Dwayne Allen's second career touchdown catch helped Indianapolis honor coach Chuck Pagano with a come-from-behind upset win over Green Bay. The Colts learned Pagano had been diagnosed with leukemia earlier this week.
