Richie Shaffer tied a school record with three doubles and Phil Pohl, Jon McGibbon, and Dominic Attanasio all set career highs for RBIs in #19 Clemson's 16-4 win over Holy Cross at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday. The Tigers improved to 6-4 on the season, while the Crusaders dropped to 3-5. It was the first meeting between the two since the 1958 College World Series.

USC and Clemson baseball remain relatively steady in this week's new college baseball polls. The Gamecocks (9-1), who took two out of three against the Tigers over the weekend, stay at #2 and #3 in the three major polls. Clemson (5-4) is ranked between #15 and #20.

Senior guard Andre Young was one of five players named to the ACC's All-Defensive Team on Monday, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA). Second ranked South Carolina pounded out 11 hits with a three-run homer from Adam Matthews as well as a solo homer from LB Dantzler, on the way to a 9-6 victory over 15th ranked Clemson on Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out crowd of 8,242 fans at Carolina Stadium.

Second ranked Carolina defeated 15th ranked Clemson 3-2 in extra innings Friday night in Charleston. Sean Sullivan and Connor Bright drove in the go-ahead and game-winning RBI in the top of the 11th. Evan Marzilli had an assist from center field and made the game-winning catch.
