Silva Named to Naismith Trophy Watch List

Senior forward Chris Silva was one of fifty players to be named to the 2019 Citizen Naismith Trophy Men’s Watch List, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced on Monday morning. He’s the first Gamecock to appear on the watch list since Devan Downey prior to the 2008-09 season.

Will Muschamp announced during his weekly teleconference Sunday that a pair of safeties, Jamyest Williams (shoulder) and Javon Charleston (foot), will each have season-ending surgery after leaving the Ole Miss game Saturday.
