The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says they are looking for a missing man with a history of mental illness. Deputies say 44-year-old Danny Gibbs Jr. was last seen on April 8, and he has not been taking his medication.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a 59-year-old man who was reported missing after being last seen at his home on Sunday. Deputies are looking for Leonard Dover, who was last seen at his home off R L Coward Road, and was headed towards Garners Ferry Road on foot.
On October 21, 2020, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the Peay Ridge Community, along with the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, where a hunter reported finding human remains. According to officials, DNA testing revealed that the body belonged to Kirk Anthony Hall, who had been reported missing from the same community on September 13, 2019.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the name of an individual whose body was discovered on Ridgewood Avenue Wednesday. The coroner identified the man as 71-year-old Johnny L. Thompson, of Blythewood.
