With inclement weather expected in the Midlands, South Carolina State University says all classes will be conducted virtually Friday, January 21.
The Richland Library says all locations will be closed Friday, January 21, due to expected winter weather in the area.

The South Carolina House and Senate sessions scheduled for Tuesday have been cancelled because of slick road conditions in parts of the state. Poor conditions remained in part of South Carolina’s Upstate region and elsewhere after a winter storm dumped several inches of snow on some areas and ice elsewhere.
Thousands of flights have been cancelled because of the snow, ice and freezing rain.

High winds caused many trees and branches to fall on roads across the area. Downed power lines were also seen on some streets and even on some people’s yards.
