Cannarella named ACC Freshman-of-the-year

Cam Cannarella was named ACC Freshman-of-the-Year, announced Monday by the ACC. Cannarella is Clemson’s fourth ACC Freshman-of-the-Year, joining Matthew LeCroy (1995), Patrick Boyd (1998) and Seth Beer (2016).

University of South Carolina sophomore catcher Cole Messina and freshman outfielder Ethan Petry both were named to the All-Southeastern Conference First Team while Petry was named to the league’s Freshman All-SEC team, the SEC announced this afternoon (Monday, May 22).

Historic season comes to close with final day split in Southeast Regional

The historic 2023 season for the No. 8 Newberry College baseball team came to a close on Saturday, May 20 as they were knocked out of the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament by the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey by a score of 10-9 after they qualified for the championship series with a 10-9 win over the Braves of UNC Pembroke earlier in the day.
