SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A Cherokee County woman is suing state and local officials after the children's train crash in March that killed one boy and injured 28 people.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — One Hilton Head Island official says rules approved 20 years ago to slow rapid development on the island are now hindering redevelopment in black neighborhoods.

Bittersweet Ending to Free Health Care Event

Thanks to the efforts of more than 1,500 volunteers, SC Mission 2011: Midlands, a free health care event held on August 5 and 6 at the Carolina Coliseum, provided health care services to more than 2,000 people. However, not everyone received treatment.
