Surratt Returns To USC Practice

Defensive tackle J.T. Surratt returned to practice on Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday's practice with a sore back. Offensive guard Cody Waldrop did not practice on Wednesday as he remains sidelined with a right knee injury.

Spiller returned a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown in a 29-10 win over AFC East rival Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Rookie Sammy Watkins scored on a 12-yard catch.

Clemson-FSU Game To Air On ABC Columbia

The ACC released game times and networks for the weekend of Sept. 20, and the Clemson-Florida State game will be an ABC national broadcast scheduled for an 8 p.m. kickoff.

Scott Earns ACC Weekly Rookie Honors

Clemson freshman receiver Artavis Scott has been named ACC Receiver of the Week. Scott joins Charlie Whitehurst (2002 vs. Duke), James Davis (2005 vs. South Carolina) and Sammy Watkins (2011 vs. Auburn, Florida State and Maryland) as Tiger freshmen who were honored for ACC weekly awards other than Rookie of the Week in the last 15 years.

Former Gamecock Kicked In The Face

Former Gamecock Spencer Lanning makes a living kicking a football. Sunday he was on the receiving end of a kick...to the face. The Cleveland Browns punter was covering his own punt when Pittsburgh return man Antonio Brown tried to hurdle him. Lanning received a foot to the face but helped to bring Brown down. Brown was hit with a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty.

Clemson Crushes SC State 73-7

Cole Stoudt completed 22 of his 31 passes for 302 yards and No. 23 Clemson scored its highest point total in 33 years in a 73-7 win over South Carolina State on Saturday.

Lady Tigers Beat Gamecocks 1-0

No. 9 South Carolina (4-1-0) dropped a 1-0 decision to rival Clemson (5-0-0) on Friday night at Stone Stadium in front of a program-record 5,855 fans.

Golden Goal Gives Gamecocks Rivalry Win

The Clemson men’s soccer team fell to South Carolina by a score of 2-1 in double over time on Tuesday evening at Stone Stadium in Columbia, S.C. The Tigers fall to 1-1 with the loss, while the Gamecocks improve to 1-1. It was the second straight year that the game between the two teams reached double overtime. In 2013, the Tigers won on a golden goal by Thales Moreno, scored 1:36 into the second extra period. This year, the Gamecocks’ Koty Millard scored the game winner 2:12 into the second overtime.

Swinney Gets ESPN Spotlight Tuesday

Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney will travel to Bristol, Conn., Tuesday to participate in the annual ACC Coaches “Car Wash” at ESPN Headquarters.

Peake has minor knee surgery

Clemson red-shirt junior receiver Charone Peake suffered a minor knee injury during off season workouts on Wednesday. He had surgery on the knee on Friday morning and will miss at least the first week of practice, which opens on August 1.

3 Tigers Make Preseason All-ACC 1st Team

Clemson All-American defensive end Vic Beasley, Grady Jarrett and Stephone Anthony were all named to the first-team preseason All-ACC football team announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Wednesday. The team was selected by media who attended last weekend’s ACC Football Kickoff in Greensboro, N.C.

Paulsen Makes Most Of MLB Debut

Former Tiger Ben Paulsen was called up to the majors with the Colorado Rockies on Monday and made his MLB debut that night as the starter at first base against the Washington Nationals at Coors Field in Denver, Colo. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI, as he totaled a team-high two hits from the sixth spot in the lineup.

Clemson Behind FSU In Preseason ACC Poll

The Florida State Seminoles were picked as the overall ACC champions by 104 media members in the media preseason poll Monday and received 109 first-place votes in their division to put them far ahead of Clemson, which had three.

Paulsen Called Up To Majors

Former Tiger first-baseman Ben Paulsen was called up to the majors for the first time with the Colorado Rockies on Monday. The Acworth, Ga. native batted .291 with 15 homers, six triples, 24 doubles, 47 RBIs and a .380 on-base percentage in 95 games with the Colorado Springs (AAA) SkySox in 2014.

Clemson Kicks Off ACC Media Event

It's been a while since the Atlantic Coast Conference entered a season with this much buzz. "How does it feel to have an ACC team come in here with a national championship?" FSU quarterback Jameis Winston asked. "Can we get us, the ACC, a round of applause? Finally. We took it away from the SEC, man. It's a blessing."

Crownover to return to Clemson

Lefthander Matthew Crownover will return to Clemson for his junior season in 2015. The Rinngold, Ga. native was drafted in the 21st round (No. 628 overall pick) by the San Francisco Giants in June but has elected to return to the Tigers.

Anthony Makes Butkus Award Watch List

Clemson senior linebacker Stephone Anthony was named to the watch list for the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Award on Monday. The Butkus Award is given annually to the top linebacker in college football, while the Lombardi Award goes to the top lineman, offensive or defensive.
