Starting tight end Sam Cooper and reserve quarterback Chad Kelly both suffered torn ACL injuries during Clemson’s Spring Football Game this past Saturday. Smith, a 1992 Virginia graduate, has spent the last nine seasons at the helm of the UAB program. The native of Milledgeville, GA, who will be one of the leaders of J.T. Horton’s first Clemson women’s golf teams this coming August shot a second round 75 and stands in 42nd place after 36 holes of the first major of the year on the LPGA Tour.
