The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with The Meeting Place Church of Greater Columbia and the American Red Cross for a blood drive Friday tomorrow.
Blood can be used in transfusions to help those suffering from trauma, sickle cell, birthing complications and even COVID-19.
“There’s several causes. Cooking is a big factor,” Adams said. “Oftentimes, when people cook, they leave the kitchen unattended. That’s the number one cause of fires.”
