According to Police, the fatal shooting happened in the Moores Creek community near Caughman Road. Police say investigators responded to Musgroves Mill Lane around 5am Monday. CPD: Teen arrested in connection with the desecration of Knowlege Sims’ grave

The Columbia Police Department says a 19-year-old was arrested in connection with the desecration of Knowledge Sims’ grave. Police say Sims was fatally shot at his home on Tarragon Drive in April 2020. There have been no arrests made in connection with the 7-year-old’s death.

National Action Network leaders discuss detainment of artist and proposed changes

Leaders with the National Action Network met this afternoon to discuss the results of a talk with city leaders over a police detainment. John Sims, an artist in residence at 701 Whaley, was detained by Columbia Police during a mistaken break-in investigation on May 17.
