COLUMBIA (WOLO): Saturday, the state Department of Health and Environmental Control announced another 660 cases of COVID-19. 8 more South Carolinians have died from the virus. This afternoon, DHEC held a meeting where they emphasized the importance of kids wearing masks while they are in school. Officials say the goal is herd immunity, but in the meantime we need to protect those who have not been vaccinated yet and that means children.
