The driver of a Ford Transit who was pronounced dead at Prisma Health Richland Memorial after a Monday collision has been identified by the Fairfield County coroner, says the coroner’s office.
In total, 130 children shopped with state troopers at 7 Walmart locations around the state.
According to Richard Podmore, the Director of Safety for the SC Department of Education, the new features include longer stop arms on each side of the bus, bright signs on the back to alert drivers when the bus is preparing to stop, lit header boards that make buses more visible in low light, and cameras attached to the stop arms.
The holiday also falls in the middle of what troopers call the ‘100 Deadly Days of Summer’, a period that runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
